I joined the Food and Beverage Service course at
the Hotel Industry Training Centre (now Hotel And Tourism Institute) in 1986, and I gained useful
knowledge and learnt important food and beverage skills.
Upon completion of the course, I joined the Hong Kong Hotel. And
within a short period of 4 years, I assumed the position of
Restaurant Assistant Manager at the Ritz Carlton Hotel. After that,
I joined the Empire Hotel Group taking up the position of Group
Assistant Food & Beverage Manager. In the middle of year 2002, I had
the precious opportunity of joining the world-renowned
Intercontinental Hotel as the Chinese Restaurant Manager of Yan Toh
Heen. During my employment there, I was assigned by the Company to
different places like China and Japan to broaden my horizon and
experience.
To be successful in the food & beverage industry, I believe the
prerequisites are courtesy, integrity, perseverance and credibility.
Most important of all diligence and enthusiasm lead the way to
success.
