Time really passes quickly. I had little
understanding of the “Tour Guide and Service Culture Course" when I
enrolled. However, throughout the four months, I have gained a deep
understanding of guiding skills and interpersonal skills both in
theory and in practice. I also won the "Quality Ambassador" Award
during the course.
This made me understand that good quality service is the most
important element in our tourism industry in Hong Kong.
I joined the Pacific World Ltd. as an English speaking tour guide
right after I graduated from the centre. My customers are mostly
from America and Europe. My role as a tour guide is to introduce
Hong Kong, plan their itinerary, and provide information for
tourists. I face different tourists everyday. Each one of them has
different background. I learned a lot from them. Every
time when I saw my Guests leaving Hong Kong happy and satisfied,
this motivates me to work even harder.
What I got from this course are my guiding skills, customer service
and work satisfaction. I would like to take this opportunity to
thank Miss Daisy Fung and other teachers that have taught us. I wish
all new T&T trainees will have a bright future after graduate.
